A great recipe to batch bake at the start of the week, ready for adding to soup, salad, curry or simply just snacking on when your hangry 😉

Less than a minute to prep and 30mins in a hot oven to crisp up – that’s not much effort for a healthy and tasty hit of plant protein!

Begin by assembling all of the ingredients together.  You will need;

  • 2 tins chickpeas – rinsed and drained
  • a selection of ground spices – cumin, coriander, mild chilli, turmeric, plus some salt & pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Mix the spices, seasoning and oil in to the chickpeas;

Spread the chickpeas out onto a baking sheet and bake for about 20-30mins (depending on how crunhcy you like them) at 180 degrees C.

After 20mins, check the chickpeas and give the tray a little shake to separate and ensure they are baked evenly.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge.  Crisp up again in the oven if desired before eating.
